Ascend Amphitheater
Ascend Amphitheater In the spring of 2014 Metro Nashville solicited qualifications for management of a new downtown, riverfront amphitheater. The 6,800 capacity venue would be the centerpiece of a $35M, 11-acre public park project, creating a high-profile music destination on the site of the former Nashville Thermal site. Live Nation engaged Hall Strategies to provide guidance for the process, which included public strategy and partnerships that would separate Live Nation from a field of national contenders, and to lead contract approval.
In August of 2014, the city selected Live Nation to establish for a 10-year relationship that began with great fanfare with the opening of Ascend Amphitheater in July 2015. Ascend Amphitheater achieved unprecedented financial and attendance success at every level, and gained national attention from Pollstar as a 2015 nominee “Best New Major Concert Venue/Best Small Outdoor Venue.”
Live Nation retained Hall Strategies to build community relationships and business opportunities.
